Student Organization Social Media Policies/Guidelines & Disclaimers
Hi Brian. We do ask for some dislaimers on websites, social media pages, and publications of our Self-Governed Student Organizations (i.e., those not considered to be part of the University). Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to monitor this. See “Required language on materials fro SGSOs”…

We have a low-barrier check-in process at our pantry so we know how many individuals and families we’re serving. Our staff are available to share information about other resources in the community, and they help to establish a welcoming atmosphere and a sense of community among returning shoppers. We also have a more grab-and-go satellite. We…

They meet in the spring prior to the academic year in which the new fee amount will take effect.… Read more

And then I discovered this timely opinion piece from our student paper, published just last week. It outlines the author’s experience with exclusive clubs at a… Read more

Same at Indiana University, essentially. We’ll tell them the steps to follow and point them to resources. We find a number of the organizations looking for more support on tax obligations or legal advice about filing for tax exemption, but we’re obviously not quilified to provide that type of guidance.

Same at Indiana University. There is a perception among some graduate studetns that their organizations have fewer benefits or less access to resources, but that is not the case.

Hi Ariel,
We’ve started tracking some of this information in Advocate, which I believe is the same system used by our Office of Student Conduct.?
We’ve also had a couple of organizations this year wishing to remove members. Most of our student organizations are “self-governed student organizations,” i.e. independent organizations that are free… Read more
