    Hello everyone,

Do you live in the DMV? Are you interested in transforming DEI at your institution? If so, check out this upcoming event, “It’s time to rethink DEI” at Busboys and Poets. I visited this restaurant-bookstore-cafe a few years ago and loved the vibe. (If we’re ever on a Zoom call, you’ll see me sipping from my Busboys and Poets mug.) It’s located in DC’s U Street Corridor and is host to poetry slams (nod to our CUPSI audience), college open mic nights (there’s one on October 14), and thought-provoking discussions on anti-racism and social justice.?

If you’re nearby, check this out, and share your experience with the community!?

    Be well,

Random note… I attended a wedding at Busboys and Poets. Cool place!
