Community Check In Friday Question
I don’t know if it counts as a small change, because it wasn’t the cheapest thing in the world, but we recently repotted all of the plants in one of our buildings and added a couple more plants to spots that were bare. They hadn’t been touched in what we assume is decades. They are now University colors, match the aesthetic of the building,…

Laptop & Device Charging Checkout
I really like what you’re looking at, it looks convenient to have them all charging on a central dock. We’ve been signing out RAV Power Banks. They come in a case with a charging cable. Naturally we have had some of the chargers not come back and some of the cases go missing. But otherwise the power bank has…

Food policy to include external caterers
We are allowed to bring in outside caterers but our Environmental Health & Safety office has set strict food safety guidelines and maintains a list of approved caterers. They are less picky when it is a closed event to just a department, but open events or large events are supposed to follow…

Thanks for sharing that link Michael! We are also looking at arcade systems and hadn’t found that company yet. I love that they offer some multi player options so it isn’t just students playing on their own. And the cost seems reasonable.
We had found these but haven’t purchased any yet:
- AB Video Arcades
- Arcade1Up
- Amusements Plus (local…

Portable Power Solution for Event Spaces
Hello Roman,
Two things came to mind when I read your post, I’m not sure if either will be helpful.
- Our information desk signs out these portable chargers that are powerful enough for a laptop. They aren’t that expensive but they don’t dock at a charging station, they just get plugged in. These are very small, portable, and powerful.

When to Work Replacement - SubItUp?
Thank you Chris! This is exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate you breaking it down into the pros and cons. You hit on a few things I hadn’t even thought to ask about (like what happens when a shift extends past 12am). I’ll let you know if I have more questions!

When to Work Replacement - SubItUp?
Hello All,
As I’m sure many of you are aware, When to Work has announced they are eliminating their base plan and requiring everyone to move to the “pro plan.” Our office is not interested in the pro plan, as it does not add any functionality we have wanted. It also more than doubles our annual subscription cost. We are looking at SubItUp but…
