Thank you for your comment James. The current system we were quoted is a AMX NMX system. I am curious to see what other brands there are. On another thread Parry Lopez suggested I should get multiple quotes all diversifying the equipment and installer. Hopefully that, in itself, will bring a lot of information to the table.… Read more

I have discussed security with our IT department, and since it would be a local network and not integrated into the campus network (our current system isn’t either), they are okay with it. I am looking into bringing our main venue space back up to its former glory. We can keep working with Crestron or “upgrade” to AV over IP. In my experience, and the experience of others in the ACUI community, Crestron has been a bit of a headache for everyone at some point.
