During my time at the Norris Center at Northwestern University, we celebrated our 40th birthday.? We found an amazing cake decorator who reproduced the building in 3D.? We invited Alumni to partake in the event.? ?It was a really cool – watching folks amazed by the cake- then eating it!——————————

I want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences with reducing or reassigning duties for their information desks.? I have a follow up question.? Does any facilities have an enclosed? (door and walls) welcome desk/information center as opposed to a desk in the open???

I recall a few universities had mentioned limiting or all together removing Welcome/Information desks from their operations.? We are experiencing short staffing and are exploring whether a reduction in Welcome Desk hours or all together removing the welcome desk from building operations.? Yes- tarps under tables. We also try to use older tables.

At Texas A & M Commerce at the Rayburn Student Center we require all painting events to supply their own table covers and tarps. If they do not provide these items the event does not occur.
