Good day Lauren!?
At Minnesota State the Student Events Team has a opt in only texting service for larger events and some services since 2015. We manage it directly and do send texts for other department events, but do not allow RSOs to use the service. This keeps the volume down and cost down.
Since our time here are a few tricks, we…

Hi Lauren!?
Penn State uses three different types of messaging services. The first is through our campus app, Penn State Go: Penn State Go | The all-in-one mobile app for Penn State. Almost every student, faculty, and staff member has this app on their phones. We can target by campus location and type of audience (student or staff). As…

Hi Joe,
We also use the Engage platform on campus. Our Dean of Students Office (student life) doesn’t push too hard during admissions events ? we’ve also experienced the lack on interest here. The bigger focus on our campus during admissions is financial aid and housing. So we do a large trifold display with basic infographics and engaging…

Kate, thank you for sharing. We also do this but for some reason, students see very disinterested. We have a few items in our pipeline to promote and will be using Orientation Leaders to push out to our similar platform system.

Our involvement platform is Redbird Life, so we push everyone to the website. Last year we had our student designer create a new campaign with consistent branding. I’m attaching one piece, but we have this in a variety of print and digital formats. We also brand our merch as Redbird Life – laptop stickers, wristlet keychains, pens,…

Greetings everyone, I am currently undertaking a revision of our marketing materials intended for distribution during admissions and orientation events. While we have previously utilized booklets, I am considering the incorporation of more infographics that highlight essential information and guide prospective students to our website or…

Hello!
I am looking to see if anyone might be able to share pictures of the banners/graphics they have on the columns in their building.? Right now our columns are white and dull and I’d like to bring some school pride into the building by either hanging banners or wrapping them in a graphic.
Thanks in advanced!
All the joy,
Kait?

Has anyone found a cheap (read: free) AI video creator that allows you to create video with audio from your own images? I can use Canva to create a slide show and add voice>text for $150/yr, which is okay, but still means I have to create the slide show to get it to look the way I want it to.?
Alternately, a free text>speech app that I can…

The Iowa State University Memorial Union has a full-time staff member who is responsible for the art gallery as well as our permanent art collection and the Workspace (our arts & crafts studio). I’m sure she would be happy to connect with you if you would like to pick her brain. In general, we have 6-8 shows in our gallery space each year. 3 or…
