Hi Emily,

I apologize for the delayed response. Great question. I have done this several times to open up the judges panel to a campus wide selection. I identified and approached specific staff/faculty from across the University and provided an overview of what to expect in the review process. I approached a colleague from the academic affairs, student affairs and administration affairs to get their participation. This is totally different from putting an open call for personnel to volunteer, which one may not volunteer. This works for me. Let me know if you have specific questions.

Would love to know what others do on their campuses.

We are looking to revamp our student leadership awards nomination and voting procedures. We’d like to shift voting away from an all Student Affairs panel of judges to a campus wide selection process.
