  End of Semester / Year Wind Down & Opportunities

  Congratulations friends!

  You have made it to the end of Fall term and nearing the end of 2022. What a year it has been!! Whatever the semester and year brought you, you made it through to the end of year! This calls for a celebration!  Thumbs up, high-fives, fist bumps, hugs! 

  It is my hope that as we approach the end of the year, that you take the time to rest and nourish yourself in the midst of traveling, holiday gatherings and emotions/feelings that the season may bring you. Your rest and nourishment is key to your effectiveness as a professional, fellow human being and friend who contributes to the development of our college students. 

  This past week, I attended an online workshop that focused on regenerative rest by Dr. Tamara Yakaboski. She shared with us the 7 types of rest that high-achievers need. The original article is posted by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith. Find some time to read through it and consider the ways in which you find rest over the break. It is a short turn around before classes resume in the new year, please take some time to rest, renew and reenergize for the new year.

  This will be a time to connection and community through exploring ways the Leadership & Service Education COP can support and assist you, learning about the work that you do, and simply networking. Join in and let?s connect!

  I am also seeking a co-lead to work with me in serving our Community of Practice. There are no prerequisite for volunteering as a co-lead, simply a desire to serve, get involved with ACUI, and gather others to advance community.

  As we enter winter break and/or vacation, be safe, be well and be healthy!
