2021 Reflections and 2022 Intentions
Greetings Leadership & Service Educators,
Classes are well under way for many of our campuses.
I extend my warmest greetings to you and wishes for an amazing, healthy and successful year.As we are back at work (either in-person or remote), several things for you to think about as you move in 2022 – reflections and intentions.
2021 Reflections
-
- what are my fondest memories of last year
- what were the defining moments during the last year
- what books, magazines or learning materials (including podcasts, etc) and mentors had the great impact on me? why?
- what are the lessons learned from last year
2022 Intentions
-
- what are my greatest dreams for 2022?
- what projects will these dreams require?
- what daily actions must I engage in to fulfill them?
- what are rituals and practices that I will continue to do in 2022?
- what are rituals and practices that I will stop doing in 2022?
- what are rituals and practices that I will start doing in 2022?
These are for your own self-reflection purposes. You are welcome to share your reflections to any of the prompts above with members of our community of practice at your own discretion. Or feel free to share them with your colleagues at your respective unions, departments and institutions in smaller spaces.
At the same time, I am seeking the request of any of you who would like to work collaboratively to brainstorm ways to engage members of our community of practice. I am open to ideas and suggestions. Just like the proverb says, many hands make light work.
Feel free to respond to this message or email me directly, at rouel@hawaii.edu.
Be safe and stay healthy!
