Hello from cold, snowy, icy, Erie, PA and Gannon University!!
Would any of you be willing to share your experience/documents, etc. dealing with scheduling priorities and windows?? We’re implementing/updating/revising our scheduling priorities and windows at Gannon and I’m specifically interested…for those of you who have similar policies in place, how do you deal with people wanting space for weddings more than a year out–within the regular semesters, not summers?? For example, if student orgs and departments can’t reserve space for the Spring 23 semester until November of 22, how do you deal with someone coming to you today to ask for a wedding in February of 23?? I don’t want to turn that potential business away–but I’m also trying to figure out how to “slot it in” between stuff that will undoubtedly be coming down the pike internally.? I also ALWAYS want to avoid any perception that external orgs have any kind of priority over internal departments, student orgs, etc.?
