We have a First Generation+ Resource Center here at UWM. https://uwm.edu/firstgen/ Though housed in the Student Union, this group reports to a different area of the Division of Student Affairs, though we partner with them for many programs and activities. Our Center recently rebranded from operating as the “Inclusive Excellence Center”, but they have operated with a mission focused on First Generation students since the unit was founded about a decade ago.?

Please take a look at their website. Amanda was recently hired as the Director of this unit after Mai Yer was promoted to oversee the entirety of our Centers for Advocacy and Student Engagement (CASE) group (which includes the Military & Veterans Resource Center, Women’s Resource Center, and LGBTQ+ Resource Center).?

We have a First Generation Success Center here at the University of North Texas. It is in the Union and under the Student Affairs umbrella, but not the union staff umbrella. I hope this helps!
