  Word of the Year / Competency of the Year?

  So I know many of us pick a “word of the year” which highlights in a general way Goals/New Year’s resolutions/etc. I’d love to hear some of them AND I’d like to challenge us all to work on an ACUI Core Competency this year! What are those? Well here’s a link.

  I don’t really have a word this year. I feel like mine will develop within the next few months. For now though, I will say that I am picking the “Marketing” Core Competency as my area to work on for this year. As a person who used to be a huge social media dork, I feel like I don’t even try anymore and am disconnected from ways in which students actually find out about events and more. I believe there are different generations engaging in different ways on different platforms and I want to keep up with the times and find the students where they are.?
