    Good Morning, Everyone!

    Happy Monday!

Our member spotlight today is Kerry Spicer. Kerry is the interim Vice President of Student Affairs & Dean of Students at Daemen University.

Kerry completed her doctoral work and successfully defended in May 2023 while running for her local school board with 13 other candidates. This was an unprecedented amount of people running and she won the second highest votes. She is now serving on her school board as Dr. Spicer! Kerry received the Gretchen A Laatsch Scholarship in 2023 for her doctoral work through ACUI and was in the first group of ACUI Legacy Leaders in March of 2020!

a special education parent and incredibly proud of her two kiddos and the advocacy work she does for all children to have equal access to education. This advocacy spills over into her work with students as she sees so many who did not receive supportive services in K-12 needing support in college.

Fun facts: She can only talk while wildly gesturing with her hands and has watched Gilmore Girls more times than can possibly count!

Kerry is such a badass-a woman of formidable strength and skill. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on the CPT and RLT for the past 15 years. She is a tremendous leader and friend. I love you!?
