  Member Spotlight- Carole Dowell

  Good Morning everyone, 

  Happy Hump Day! 

  Our member spotlight for today is Carole Dowell, she is the Director of the University Student Commons at Virginia Commonwealth University. 

  

  One of her greatest achievements is building her career in the Student Union filed and reaching her goal of becoming a Union Director. This all started when she was an International Student at CSUN, 27 years ago, working as an Information Associate in the Student Union. Carole attended her first ACUI regional conference in 1998, joined the RLT the next year and the rest is history! At the time she had no idea what a Student Union was.

  Carole has proudly served in many positions within the Association, especially as Regional Director of Region I, and Chair of the 2021 Annual Virtual Conference Program Team (the largest attendance at an annual conference) ??! Her working experiences and extensive ACUI volunteerism has provided her the tools to be successful in her career and build an amazing network of colleagues.  

  Now that she has a house in the countryside, her family is raising chickens to have fresh eggs! They do get 4 eggs every day.
