Now that I have your attention…here’s a message from our friends on the Boston CPT. What’s the free Starbucks part? I will personally send you a $5 Starbucks e-card if you send in a proposal. For real! Just reply to this thread and I’ll send it off to you. I am not above bribery if it motivates the great women in this community to send in… Read more

Talk About it Tuesdays (a day late)
Sometimes it’s easier for me to say no when I have more details about the plan. If a student comes to you and says, “Hey, let’s do a foam party!”, that sounds great. But if I see the details and I can see all the holes in the plan (if there is a plan at all), and I know that I’m the one who’s going to end up plugging those holes, it makes it a… Read more

Talk About it Tuesdays (a day late)

Create an event, promote the event, attend the event (running an event with one other person is nuts). This is not a… Read more

August 26 is Women's Equality Day
Did you know that August 26 is Women’s Equality Day?
A brief bit of history from the linked article:
“In 1971, Representative Bella Abzug (D-NY) introduced a successful bill designating August 26th of each year as Women’s Equality Day. Part of the bill reads that Women’s Equality Day is a symbol of women’s continued fight for equal rights and… Read more -

Are you practicing Self-Care? Self-Care Tips Included!
Thanks so much for sharing this article! I’m a book reader so that’s definitely a self-care item for me on a regular basis – I also love to watch K Drama shows on Netflix. Korean dramas are very different from American shows and they can be a nice mix of silliness, workplace comedy and sometimes drama with work/families.
