  Seeking Student Org Institute Faculty

  Hi everyone!?

  The Student Organization Institute (SOI) will be taking place this June?at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I am looking for folx interested in serving as institute staff/faculty (4 people total). This group would be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the curriculum throughout the institute. Participants of SOI are student organization advisors, and the days typically consist of both large group (60-100 attendees) and smaller breakout group workshops, focusing on topics relevant to student org advisors. Past content areas have included: best and promising practices; strategies for risk management, advisor development, and student leadership development; simulations/case studies ? providing space for discovering new resources, while also networking. Here are a few additional details:?

  • Dates: June 9-13, 2024 (actual institute June 10-13)?

  • Location: University of Nevada, Las Vegas?

  • Costs covered by ACUI: transportation to/from campus (ex: by air, mileage, baggage); single accommodations in on-campus housing, meals, modest stipend?

  • Leading up to the institute, regular virtual meetings will be held to move the planning process along and ensure faculty have what they need to be successful?
