  Uniform inventory

  Hi everyone,

  We give our student employees (and pro staff) a polo shirt and a quarter zip pullover for their uniforms. Students receive these when they onboard, and we keep track of which uniforms they receive with a simple numbering system and google sheet. When they leave, we ask them to return their uniforms within a certain time frame. If they do not return it, we have no way to ‘forcefully encourage’ them or recoup losses – we aren’t able to invoice them, put a hold on their account, or withhold a paycheck at this time. What do other departments do to make sure their uniforms are returned? And what kind of inventory systems do you have for keeping track of them? Is there an easy and free software out there I don’t know about?
