  Training program for staff/volunteers

  Hello everyone,?

  I’m wondering if anyone currently runs any type of training for your staff and/or volunteers around how to handle conflict in a pantry. For example, our staff attempted to calmly and respectfully ask that a person not take the several items of the same thing they were and the person became really upset and agitated, tears and all. The staff was attempting to balance the person’s needs with the limited resources we work with, and it did not turn out well. They’ve asked me for some training around this and I don’t know that I have the skill set to train not just on basic conflict management but in overlapping with the delicate nature of food/housing insecurity. If you have any documents around this, that is appreciated!
