  Community Needs Leader(s)

  Recently, I saw an ACUI recruitment of Community Leaders announcement which said that to stay active a Community must have leadership. ?I noted with sadness that our Small School Community has no leaders. ? I would be surprised if the Community has served its time but it must have leadership to continue.? As an ACUI veteran and former leader of this Community, the Small School Community was a vital part of my ACUI involvement.? The Community sponsored educational sessions at conferences including tours of small school unions, broadened our network over Community meals and Zoom calls and allowed us to discuss issues with colleagues with similar responsibilities.?

  ?I write to ask each of you to identify persons (yourself or others) to lead the Community.? It is a fun opportunity to contribute to your own and others’ growth and development.?

  The ACUI web page has a job description for the position and the application deadline is April 5.? I’m happy to talk to folks who might be interested.? As. well, ACUI Central Office staffers SiIvitra Gow and Victoria Moulterne could answer questions about this role.
