Our Topic: How to get folks to return for a reunion!
Many of us have worked with our alumni offices when reunions are planned on campus. Sometimes it is a class reunion, but other times we are closely involved inviting college union employees or volunteers back to campus to mark milestones of our programs and facilities. And still others plan and execute annual celebrations or birthday parties for their college unions and campus centers. We will spend some time inviting participants to share their success (or their significant learning) stories in order to build a sense of what works well these days in getting folks to return to celebrate together.
And then, we will transition into our plans to do just that with the ACUI Homecoming we are hosting on Wednesday and Thursday of the annual conference in New York. Some of you are probably experts in reunion planning and we need to tap into that in order to have a successful event in March 2025.
As we look forward to New York we also want to hear from folks who are involved in presenting sessions that might relate to our community so that we can help amplify them. We plan to be involved in supporting the career center at the conference and will update you on a recent meeting Victoria and I had with NYC Conference team members. Finally, we will update you on other plans for our community at the conference and hope that you will plan to join us in New York.
