I oversee the Student Center Game Room here at Temple University! We have been replacing all of our cues with Cutec 1pc House cues. They are pricier (about $100 ea.) but seemingly last forever (as opposed to our old cues which broke and splintered constantly with heavy use). I was told 1pc are better for communal use as they would be quite hard to steal (as opposed to 2 pc which can be easily fit in a backpack or duffel bag). We buy from a local billiards store that allows us to pick them up rather than pay for shipping and recommends the best brands/equipment. We do have to bring them in once or twice a semester to be re-tipped but that will most likely be the case with any high use cue. Our local shop does a great job of re-tipping for about $10 a stick. Hello All,

I am the Student Center Coordinator for the Mac Mahon Student Center at Saint Peter’s Univerisity and I need some guidance on what might be some good pool cue options for us to purchase for the game room. We have bought two piece pool cues from amazon which had good reviews but, they did not last very long. We are trying to find pool cues that are two pieces, durable, commercial grade and are suitable for high volume use. Please if you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated!
