Hi Linda!

Here at Stony Brook University, we use 25Live for space booking, room setup, resources, and the Registrar uses it to book classroom space as well. The only things you mentioned that are not covered on 25Live is our work order system – that is an internal website that Campus Operations and Maintenance uses called “FIXIT” – but it is integrated with and reports through Hexagon (HxGN EAM) and catering orders. Catering orders go through a website managed in CaterTrax.

Hi Linda,

At University of Hawaii @ Manoa, we use Mazevo. This is a really great company and they are cloud based, so no software.? Their customer service is unmatched! We switched over from EMS around 2021/2022.? We have all of our rooms and table spaces on it. Departments and student groups (or public requesters) can request rooms, room set ups, equipment, etc. Our student staff can access it from their phones to “check off” the rooms they’ve opened or closed. They can also leave notes about the rooms as needed.?

Our caterer is separate from our operations, but they have a Mazevo account as well (service provider account).? When we get F&B requests, the caterer is notified and they can contact the requester.? Food and beverage is then ordered directly with the caterer.

We don’t handle classroom spaces, so that aspect is not part of our system. But I’ve heard of other universities that also use Mazevo and oversee classroom spaces.

Hi Linda,?

Always good to see messages from the alma mater! Our University system switched to CollegeNet (25Live) for all campus scheduling (events and academic). Our catering is third-party and they have their own systems that does not integrate with 25Live. We utilize Anthology Engage for our student organization management and it does integrate well with 25Live for stuorg event management. Billing and Invoicing tools are less than desired but everyone using the same system does provide some economies of scale.?

We are transitioning next month from Accruent/EMS to Mazevo, and are really looking forward to the switch.

Our University uses 25Live to book classroom space, and we considered that platform for consistency, but overall rated Mazevo a better fit for our needs vs that small benefit.

We have current EMS/Accruent and are looking to transition to Mazevo. There are many benefits to Mazevo (financial cost, personnel, customer service, iCloud based) that makes it much better for the Student Centers.
