  Call for Firms – RFP forthcoming

  (Editor’s note – this was supposed to have posted in May, not July, thus the outdated references to spring and commencement! I am not sure what happened to the original post…
  As an update, our timeline has shifted on this so an RFP is still forthcoming, just not for a few more months probably!)

  Hello ACUI friends!

  I hope your respective spring terms are coming to a peaceful and celebratory end. Our commencement was this past Sunday, so the union is markedly quieter this week!

  After opening our doors over a decade ago (2010), Student Life at The Ohio State University is taking a fresh look at how the spaces are used in the Ohio Union, using robust student engagement and staff conversations to get to the heart of what is most impactful for our students and their perception on the best use of the spaces in the Ohio Union.? To assist with this we are looking to hire a planning and design firm with experience related to University Student Unions or similar student-centered mixed-use spaces in developing this student-informed program for the future use of The Ohio Union specifically, and potentially supplemental student engagement spaces located in Student Life buildings across campus.

  If any of you have worked with a firm (or are one of our corporate partners) that has worked with student unions or similar campus student engagement spaces please send a name and direct contact e-mail address to me by May 22, so that I can pass those along to be included in the RFP announcement, as we would like to reach out to a broad range of firms.?
