Equipment and Traffic Flow Usage
Hello Everyone,
Currently, I am in the process of looking to better understand the traffic flow and usage of equipment in the Gameroom. My current setup utilizes a scanner system for the IDs held in collateral while students are utilizing the equipment. The result is having IDs scanned but lacking the versatility of seeing the windows of time…

Hi Folks!
I oversee the Breakzone at Virginia Tech, which includes an 8 Lane bowling alley, using the Qubica AMF 82-70 machines. To put it plainly, these machines can be tough to maintain at certain times, and our staff support model that we have currently is not sustainable to keeping them well-maintained (trained Maintenance professionals…

Needs Assessment of Arcade/Gaming Spaces
Hi Kaitlyn,
We recently renovated our cafe game room at UWF. I don’t have an assessment for planning a game room renovation, but our three most popular amusements are ping pong, pool, and the Nintendo Switch. Our game room also features a foosball table, pinball, air hockey, Xbox consoles, and board games.?
We do have a gameroom…

Needs Assessment of Arcade/Gaming Spaces
Hello! We are in the process of getting ready to renovate our Arcade/Game Room space and our cafe area.? I am looking to do an assessment to collect information on what students would like to see in the new space.? If you have done this type of assessment and wouldn’t mind sharing, I would love to take a look at it!?
Thank you!
All the joy,
Kait?

Replacing Video Game Controllers
Hello all,
We have several different controllers in use–PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox–in our rec lounge. I have noticed that contemporary controllers aren’t as well made, so they seem to suffer from controller drift faster than I would expect. What have been you all’s solutions for these? Do you simply just keep buying new controllers…

Student Organization Travel Policies
Hello all–
We are working to review our student organization travel policy. Currently, we require all student organizations to register travel more than 25 miles from campus.
Our policy: https://www.rochester.edu/college/wcsa/event-planning/resources/off-campus.htmlI’m curious if others would be willing to share their policies?
Thanks!

Greetings Justen–Thanks for posing the question, and how fun that you found some history of awards at your institution from these events!
We decided to discontinue our billiards program in 2020, including the sectional/independent qualifier/championship events that sometimes included other recreation options, and we do not have plans at this…
