We want to shine light on another phenomenal leader and contributor to ACUI and our Community of Practice:

Ms. Stacey Givens, ACUI Director of Strategic Initiatives and Senior Diversity Officer

Stacey serves as the liaison of various ACUI Community of Practices including our very own Community of Practice for Multi-Ethnic Professionals and Allies (COMP). As an integral member of the ACUI executive team, Stacey has been influential in shaping the Association’s DEI strategy with key partners within higher education. She also helped organize and manage a two-day social justice seminar and Hack-a-thon, involving 31 student affairs professionals. The outcome included the development of a Justice & Equity Assessment, which has been piloted by four universities.

Under her leadership she has doubled the participation in ACUI’s Closing the Gap Advancement Program for Professionals of Color which has equipped participants with invaluable knowledge, guidance, peer support and an expanded network of experienced student affairs professionals. Her advocacy, support and witty sense of humor (smile) has been a true gift to us and the Association.?

    Thank you, Stacey!!

Thank you shining a light on Stacey!? I agree she has been such an impactful addition to the ACUI Executive team.

I have found her contributions to amplifying ACUI’s DEI efforts and building community monumental in the short time she has been with us.?

The daily Black History Month highlights made me smile everyday this month, and the thoughtfulness and effort did not go unnoticed.

Kudos Stacey, keep doing what your doing because you are doing something RIGHT!!!

    Warm Regards,
