  Hello everyone!

  Every Community of Practice has (or should have) two co-leads and COMP is no exception. These words come to mind when I think of this person: optimistic, positive, connected, and resourceful. That’s the kind of person you need when you’re blazing a new trail, and ACUI is lucky to have this guy.

  “I like to speak from a space of personal experience and not hypothetical. There’s typically a story to tell and in that story is a lesson learned.”?

  Andre Adams is the co-lead for COMP and a mentor for Closing the Gap, where he co-presented “Authenticity as a Core Competency.”? His phrase, “move with purpose,” is evident in his career trajectory.?From coaching Track and Field at Kean University to launching his student affairs journey at University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Andre has dedicated the past 20 years to influencing and impacting students and staff in higher ed. For the last 4.5 years, Andre has applied his professional talent as the Director for the A.D. Bruce Religion Center at the University of Houston.
