Hello everyone,

Have you seen this man? He can be spotted at the Region I conference, ACUI Annual Conferences, ComiCon (well, he is an avid comic book fan), and any horror film premiere (since he’s a fanatic, ask him if he’s seen The Blackening). Please meet Timothy J. Banks (Bank$ is an alternative spelling ??).

Tim is the Associate Executive Director, Diaz Compean Student Union at San Jose State University. He’s been involved with ACUI for 34 years!!!! Friends, Tim got his start early in 1990 with the former Region 8. He held several Region 8 Volunteer positions including: College Bowl Coordinator, Multi ?Ethnic and Women’s issues Coordinator and Ed Session Coordinator for the Regional Leadership Team. Tim was the 2005 recipient of the former Region 8’s Richard L. Christie Award for “outstanding contributions to the College Union/Student Activities field.”  He’s been a student affairs professional for 32 years starting at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he worked for 20 years and was the Founding Director of the Office of Event Services (2009-2018). 

It’s amazing to celebrate a member with long tenure in the field and at ACUI. Thank you, Tim for your service!
