Traffic counts

We recently renovated our Student Center, and we are curious about ways to count traffic. We have eight exterior entrance/exits. What do you recommend for technology to do this – and we do not want to use card swipe entry as we are open to the public. And, if you have a suggestion, how does it count entrances only, and not exits?

Traf-Sys and Sensource are excellent companies to work with.  I am currently getting bids from both.  Please email me michael.mckean@tamuc.edu if you have any questions.

    Hello Becki,

I have been working with Traf-Sys for many years and have their products installed in all 5 of our building’s entrances.? We opted for the Power Over Ethernet counters during our renovation back in 2016.? They count both in and out for us.? While no system is perfect, it works for what we need.? The reporting tools are decent, but we find that some times we do data entry over in to an excel sheet from the reports to pull different data sets.??

I agree with Michael, both Traf-Sys and Sensource are excellent companies to work with and have been a part of ACUI for a long time.? Please let me know if you have any questions about the system we currently have in place.
