  Student Union Renovation Feedback and Experience

  Hello ACUI!? We are in the midst of planning an renovation of a new Center of Diversity and Inclusion located in our historic student center at Notre Dame. As the facility manager of the LaFortune Student Center, this has been a tremendously exciting and educational experience. I wondered if anyone else has done a large scale renovation to a historic facility and your reflections. What were your biggest takeaways? How did you prioritize what to keep, what not to keep in your facility for the greater good/vision? Thinking outside the box in reimagining spaces, opening areas and creating a blank slate has been an interesting journey and I thought I would reach out to peers that have gone down this road. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!
