Hi Yakima,

I am interested to find out the same information along with getting some ideas for space allocation for student organizations.? We have over 800 student organizations and we provide office space for 5 organizations.? We provide storage space to many organizations but not office space.? Our issue is we spend hours every year reviewing applications for 5 office spaces and the students continue to provide the same organizations space.? I am looking for ideas regarding space and storage allocation.

For those of you who have student organization offices in your student union/centers, how do you hold your student groups accountable for the use of the space? Do you have contracts, agreements?

How do you handle these spaces in the event that a specific student organization is in danger of losing recognition and/or is under a judicial review? 

For example, if a student organization was brought before a judicial board (either University or student org board body) for a violation and found responsible, would they lose their office privileges? Would the space be offered to other organizations for use? If a student organization was temporarily in a suspended status, do you offer a certain period of time for them to return to “good standing” or no?

Any insight is appreciated.
