I haven?t really seen a product that accomplishes what you are trying to do I would try to rig it some how. Many heavy duty hand staplers have a hole in the handle so you could probably attach a wire cable or chain to it. Another thought is to get a large desktop stapler (the 160 page staplers are good for this) with a large base. You can then drill a hole through the base to screw it into a table. I?ve also seen some places attach it to a large piece of wood. It can still be taken but it?s a little more obvious and obnoxious to do so since you can?t put it in a backpack.

Happy Friday!  I’m not sure if anyone else deals with this or not, but we have computer print stations located in our Campus Center and students are always looking for staplers after they print.  I know I can’t just put a stapler out at the print stations because they will walk away, so was wondering if any of you have any ideas that you have used to provide this service for our students?  Right now, they come into our office, which I don’t mind of course, but am looking for something simpler and more accessible to the customer.

Our info desk is around the corner from our printers, so we have staplers, tape, pencil sharpener, etc. on the ledge that folx can use. Because the desk is staffed throughout the day we haven’t had any issues with supplies walking away.
