Set Up Crew Job Description
Hi everyone,
We are doing a review of our student job descriptions and I am looking for some examples.? I’m specifically interested in positions comparable to our Set Up Crew.? This team sets up furniture in our conference/multipurpose rooms and provides tech support.? Anything you can share is appreciated!

In the past I did a Price is Right style game to get students to understand the value of furniture, AV equipment and facilities.? I would have 3 students try to guess the closest price and then they would play another game where they matched cards to the equipment.? For example- “This microphone is great for singers” Card would read SM 58.? ?Students were always surprised that chairs cost $200-$300 dollars piece and microphones were $500-$700, they definitely treated everything with more respect afterwards.??
We also did a Jeopardy version – Q: This type of table seats 8 people.? A: What is a 8 top round.??
Making it a game makes the training a little more fun.??——————————

We started doing the Price is Right at last year’s all-staff training and it’s amazing how the cost of radios and tables have stuck with our students all year long. Plus, they had a great time participating. We plan to do it again with some of the new summer purchases.Matt McKinney
