At the University of North Dakota we have a new Gershman Graduate Center that is within the School of Graduate Studies.  The Center is using the Mazevo event management system  https://www.gomazevo.com/.  They brought their new system on board within a similar time frame that the Memorial Union did as we both opened facilities in August 2021.    

 

Based on feedback from the Director Julie Bean from their first year in operation they have found the system to be a good match for their 5 reservable spaces.  I have included the link to the Center’s website if helpful as a peer comparison.  https://und.edu/academics/graduate-school/gershman-graduate-center/space-reservations.html

Subject: Reservation solution for small number of spaces

Hi folks-
An academic department reached out to me looking for ideas for a reservation platform to help in reserving three classrooms and one multipurpose space in a building. They were interested in EMS but I think it’s far too complex for their needs. I am not sure if anyone knows of a “smaller” platform that might do the trick?

Their needs are fairly minimal:
– all spaces come “as is” so there’s no equipment booking needs
– a limited number of student organizations, internal departments, and a few program partners have booking access
– they do not need functionality to manage catering, audio-visual, or other event “extras”

I’m wondering if you all are aware of different platforms that might be a good fit? I suggested Mazevo as an alternative, but if there are other ideas please share!
