    Hello Everyone!

We are currently looking into our policies for charging rental fees for our spaces. In particular we are looking at philanthropic/fundraiser events.?

A couple of questions we have:

    1. Do you charge for organizations holding fundraisers for themselves
    2. Do you charge for organizations holding fundraisers for a parent/national office for their organization
    3. If holding a fundraiser for another charity, do you require they provide proof of donation

Thank you for your time and input,?

    Hi James!?

We keep it a bit more broad – our current practice is to apply room fees if the event were being hosted by a 3rd party organization, regardless of whether it’s a fundraiser or not.? For our campus partners and organizations, a room fee would apply if there is a required fee for entry, which includes a required donation of any kind. This keeps it a bit more streamlined for the kinds of events we see in our student unions and centers venues.??

Hope this helps, but happy to chat further if you’d like!?

P.S. Hope Muncie is treating you well! I’m a 2012 SAAHE grad :)?

Thank you for the information, it is very helpful and appreciated.

Nice to hear from a fellow Cardinal! So far so good, started classes here in 2008 and never left.
