I will be following this thread as we find it challenging to support music at events. I don’t hold the expectation that my student technicians will use their private spotify accounts for events. But we are frequently asked to provide background/filler music during a wide range of events.

Hello Everyone!

We are looking at music solutions for playing music and having the availability to choose the songs you want to play. Our Fitness classes, children programs, and on occasion some events, are asking to play specific songs at specific times. We currently use SoundTrack Your Brand and were looking into RockBot but these do not offer being able to choose the song to play but rather it creates a playlist for you to play. I am trying to read up on Copy Right laws to understand how we can do this but I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has anything? If you have any advice about Copy Right that will help me understand it better, I would appreciate that as well.

We get asked to provide music in the background for events and that is what we use SoundTrack Your Brand for but we get asked to play specific playlist for things and have to deny them. Our fitness classes are just using their own music to do their dances. We want to make sure we are doing things as legal as possible.?
