    Hello ?

I’m a Facilities Manager with Ross School of Business at University of Michigan.? I’m reaching out to see if anyone would be willing to share information on if and how masks are being provided at your location.?

University of Michigan does require masks while indoors.? At Ross School of Business, we have placed sign holders with masks at our heavily used entrances.? We’ve found that the masks continue to disappear at a high rate.? In addition, the holders we purchased have broken down within just a couple months.?

There are other spaces on campus that provide masks in different ways.? Some have them available in classrooms, some have a desk that you can approach if you’d like a mask.?

I’m wondering if anyone is willing to share their process if they provide masks?? Do you have any recommendations on equipment that would be durable for distributing masks??

I’d appreciate any information you’d be willing to share regarding your policies and equipment.

    Thank you!!
    Becky

    Hello Becky,

Here at Minnesota State University Moorhead, we are still required to mask while on campus.? Since the start of COVID we have had masks available for students and guests.? Both here in the Student Union as well as in other areas of the campus, we keep the masks at office spaces which are staffed.? For example, we had staffed a Welcome Desk for a time last year and had a box of masks always on hand there to give out.? While we are no longer staffing the desk, we still continue to have boxes of masks at our offices here in the building, Administration Office, Office of Student Activities and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.? Each office is able to “order” boxes of masks through an internal ordering website here on campus.? The order is then charged back to the office.

Because our campus is still requiring masks for everyone while on campus, we generally have not seen many issues.? In the beginning however, we started to see the same folks coming in day after day for a mask.
