Hi Nicholas,
We do our inventory within EMS. If equipment gets sent somewhere a reservation is made for that equipment. It’s pretty simple and helps us not double book anything and keep up with where it’s located.

Hi Everyone,

Here at CCSU, we started using Microsoft Teams campus-wide after the pandemic, and we imported our inventory lists into a teams channel via Microsoft Lists. As time has gone on, we’ve had issues with tables, chairs, easels, and tech equipment wandering to other rooms across campus with no way of tracking them on a weekly basis. Does anyone have experience with more in-depth inventory systems (asset tags, barcode scanners, etc…)? I’m looking online and there is so much that it’s hard to settle on what would work best for a student union environment vs a typical perpetual inventory system that a store like Wal Mart would use.

We do the same as Juile here.? I keep inventory of equipment and some furniture in EMS so I can deploy it as a Resource going to another space on campus.? It gives us contact information for the person using it.

I have also built a custom list in Sharepoint Online for our Activities department to help them track their equipment going in and out.? Based on a similar premise of getting contact / billing information as well as reserved / checked out / checked in status with custom messages being automatically sent through Power Automate to both the requestor and the department.
