    Good afternoon!?

We are looking to upgrade our door counter system to a 3D video product. Would love to hear from anyone that is currently working with them. Who are you working with? What’s the reporting system like? Any thing I should be looking out for? We currently work with Traf-Sys but have spoken with SenSource about their product and reporting system as well and were pretty impressed. .?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Colleen-

We switched from the traf-sys people counter to sensource about 7 years ago, and have been very happy with the move! Some features/advantages we appreciate:
    – tech support for trouble-shooting is very responsive
    – overall reporting seems more accurate reflection of actual traffic flow
    – reporting feature is great for ongoing metrics, as well as drilling down to specific hours on a specific day to attribute traffic to a specific event, or to look at traffic during early/late hours to justify operating hours (for example)

I’m happy to connect you with our AV manager who is our point person if you have more questions we can help with!

Agreed – we installed SenSource about 4 years ago and I don’t know how we operated without it. I’ll echo everything Jeff mentioned. It’s a great product, has great support, and the reporting is outstanding if you learn how to build reports through VEA.

The only complication is the installation as it needs a direct network (POE) to each sensor. This ended up costing us more than the actual units and professional installation.

Happy to discuss or connect you with them if you have further questions.

    Hi Colleen,

We just installed the Traf-Sys Spectrum 3D counters in our building, upgrading from their older system.? It is working very well for us and we’ve built reports that are automatically emailed to folks weekly.? Their reporting system is the same but they have indicated that there is a new reporting system coming out.? One thing that we really like is the sensors are cloud based and Traf-Sys handles all of the configuration.? The sensors also have an LED light that indicates counts and that is helpful in knowing that the system is working correctly.? Happy to chat more if you have questions!

    Hello Colleen,

At a previous institution, I was able to use our existing security cameras (we did have to add one or two) for people counting. The system had a people counting function that I could utilize which saved us additional software/licensing/data ports/etc. It had the same ability as Sensource or Traf-Sys with heat maps, hourly counts, etc, the only negative was the reporting tool wasn’t great but the time it took me to get the numbers was worth the savings. Point is, that could be something worth looking into. Here are UNL, we do use Sensource and have had the same experience as others in this thread.?
