At one point I was running Cheddar TV College at the student center.? The content is meant to be consumed in 30 second to 2 minutes geared at 18-22.? You can stream it from nearly any device.? It’s a good service- with good content.??

Our university is currently switching from cable television over to a streaming service called Streeme.tv via DirecTV.? As a part of this, some of our TV’s will be getting built in Roku services for our multi-purpose rooms and classrooms (I believe) and then for our other TV’s, we are in the process of changing over to Roku sticks for our TV’s. These will be used mostly for our event spaces if a customer requests needing to watch a specific channel.? In our public areas, there will just be Roku, and we typically set to a sports channel or something generic.? I have to figure out how to have a remote there and not have it go missing….any ideas?

Hi Chrissy,

We will also be looking for a solution next year. Are you going to be paying for a streaming service via the Roku for the TVs you will connect to? I saw another thread in the Summer about this where someone from another school talked about YouTube TV and said to ask general counsel office to see how they interpret the terms of service for a streaming platform.?

At this time, the only cost we had was to purchase the Roku’s that were needed.? ?There isn’t a streaming cost that hit us…yet…lol.??
