Hi Gil,
I know Wayne State has something going on to include bidets in the student center as part of a social justice project. Ball State’s Studebaker East residence hall has them, as does Cypress Hall at the University of Florida as part of their “fully inclusive universally designed rooms.” Student government at Michigan were trying last year to have bidets at Trotter Multicultural Center or Michigan Union, primarily to accomodate Muslim students, who can request them for religous purposes in their campus residences. Let me know if you want more info; we’ve been following this and would love to learn more.

Subject: Bidets
Hi Everyone,
We have recently received a request to have bidets added to our restrooms to meet cleansing and religious needs for some of our campus population. I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar request and/or if your campus has bidets in its facilities? If you have them, what are the pros/cons, etc. etc.?
Thanks, Gil
