Oofda!? Thank you for all of the feedback for haze and fog machines!? Here are two more questions for folks-

What games do you have available for students to play?

Do you have a tv in your lounge?? If so, what is normally playing on it?

At MTSU we don’t have games in our lounges. But a number of our lounges have TVs. They’re usually set to news or sports. But they are Roku TVs that students can check the remotes out for to change the channels. We also have a lounge called our “Gamers Lounge,” which has 4 TVs and Nintendo Switch Docks so students can hook up their Nintendo Switches to play games.?

    Hi Gina,

We just opened an e-sports cluster in our center which has a selection of the current most popular games, Fortnite, Rocket League, Counter Stike, etc.  It also has 3 VR stations, two racing simulators, and a wide variety of console games, Nintendo, PlayStation, etc.

We also have a 15′ video wall in our atrium lounge.  During the day it’s usually just ESPN networks, Food Network, or Home and Garden with the sound turned off.  We have a radio friendly Spotify playlist running during those times.  This week we’ve had the women’s ACC basketball tournament on, next week it’ll be the men’s, then after that the NCAAs.  We show all our own games in as many sports that are broadcast as we can, in addition to other major athletic events and awards shows.  We’ve had a long standing rule to not show any news networks by default but we have exceptions carved out in the event of major breaking news (think 9/11) and we’ve done multi-screen election coverage to accommodate news stations that lean in different directions.

Let me know if you have any questions!

    Scott
