    Hello Everyone,?
We are looking into getting 2-way radios for our building operations and orientation program. Does anyone have any insight or recommendations on what to look for in the product specifications or have any recommendations on a brand or vendor? Thank you in advance!

    Hello Kaitlyn,

I know this is from a long time ago in our Forums, but this may give you a small start in your research & recommendations:

    Radios of Operations Staff
    Walkie Talkies…
    Walkie Talkies… (Technology CoP)

Here at Minnesota State University Moorhead, we all have Kenwood radios, but our system is old and I believe the campus is looking to update.? ?I will see what information I can get from our Public Safety office about the update project here as they are leading the charge.

        Hi Kaitlyn-
We’ve been test-driving a newer system called Relay (https://relaypro.com/) for the last two months or so, and have been really pleased with it. We’ve also put our contact person in touch with ACUI about the possibility of them becoming a product partner. The devices are much easier to use than a traditional radio, and they operate over wireless and cellular instead of radio frequency, which we have found to be more reliable in the “trouble spots” around the facility.
