    Hello everyone!

Did you know we have a Community of Practice focused on Student Basic Needs? The idea to create the CoP was the focus of Dr. Phil Smith?s dissertation: The Struggle is Real: How African American College Students Persist Despite Basic Needs Challenges, and his devotion to create a space to meet student?s basic needs. Aside from co-leading a community, Philip was elected to serve on the ACUI Board of Trustees, a long-time member of COMP, and the Assistant Dean of Students at Rutgers University – New Brunswick. He is also part of the unofficial welcome committee for newcomers to the ACUI conference (IYKYK).

If you?re not a member of a CoP and you have a heart to end food insecurity for students, check out the basic needs community of practice.

    Be well,
