  Black History Month Member Spotlight – Feb 13

  Hello Everyone!

  Have you read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell? Out of the gate he describes Connectors (they know a lot of people), Mavens (they know stuff, lots of stuff), and Salespeople (they persuade people to act). It’s uncanny for a person to embody all three, and Tari Hunter is the trifecta.

  Tari has been deeply connected to ACUI for decades (just look at the images from COMP’s 50th Anniversary) and her years of service across the association demonstrate deep influence and impact. She served as an ACUI Board member leading the Board Strategic Committee, a supporter for Closing the Gap, COMP leader, and the unofficial welcome wagon leader (as me how I know).

  Her dossier of achievements reads like a scroll, with over 20 years of student affairs experience from Georgia to California. Tari is currently displaying her talents at CSUN as the Associate Executive Director, Equity, Programs & Leadership.
