    Greetings CoP,

At the annual conference in Denver I advertised our gathering to Urban Unions and Commuter Campus college union professionals and I was pleasantly surprised and excited about the additional turnout and subsequent conversation we had on-site. I feel like the Commuter Campus monikor is more inclusive of institutions located in non-urban communities whose primary student population commutes to and from campus. The new perspectives were exciting and I believe we could all benefit from growing this community outside the urban landscape.?

I think the time is right to update the name of our community of practice. I think having a space dedicated to the advancement of the college union idea at our commuter campuses will be a value add to our association. Please let me and the rest of the community know your thoughts on the matter. I’m looking forward to the discussion.?

    thanks,

    Joe Hayes

    Joe,

It makes a lot of sense to me.? More inclusive and more similarities than differences.??
