As someone who loves Parli Pro, considers Robert a friend, I appreciate the overwhelming need to run away from it if you are not familiar with the basics. I’ve attached three files, the first is a presentation I found from another organization and used as a reference for when I was developing a presentation on Robert’s Rules to our SGA. The Word Document is my outline for the presentation I gave. There are also lots of resources online and books like Robert’s Rules for Dummies that breaks it down super easy for students to understand.?
I also attached a photo of my placard from undergrad when I was in student government. On the backs we had this Parli Pro cheat sheet that was very helpful. So, if you have name cards or anything for your senators then adding a Parli Pro cheat sheet to them makes it very handy for the students. For student organizations the basics is all you need, and lots of Robert’s Rules are guidelines for organizations and each organization defines what that guideline means to them, so outside of the motions and points of orders you can define what your organization needs.?
Hope that helps!

Subject: Robert’s Rules of Order Guide for Student Organizations
Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. We are looking to improve our meeting efficiency and decision-making processes, and we’ve heard that Robert’s Rules of Order (RRO) can be a great help in achieving this. Many of the newer officers in our student organizations have never used RRO, and find it a little overwhelming.
Would anyone here have a guide, cheat sheet, or any resource related to Robert’s Rules of Order that could be shared with our campus? We are particularly interested in materials that are tailored for student groups and easy to understand.
Any assistance or direction to helpful resources would be greatly appreciated, my email is colemanwolf@southalabama.edu.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Best regards,
