For karaoke we have switched to using Karafun online. It’s super user friendly and we don’t have to update any lists or CDs. All you need is a computer and the ability to connect to a TV/sound system. Cost for the pro membership (needed for public performances) is $49 per month and you can cancel/suspend at any time. I think there are daily rates too–we just do a lot of karaoke around here!

We are also using Karafun for our Karaoke nights, and our tech services just sets up a screen and mic and connects to the speakers in our on-campus bar, but you could also just use a laptop, of whatever you may have for the space you are looking to use. For our trivia nights we have contracted with Sporcle trivia, they offer pub trivia, they find the host and provide the system for questions.? I think it’s $3 per player per game (that may have changed since I signed with them a couple years ago). But is super easy, I don’t really need to think about it, they’re great to work with! You will need to supply the prizes, they do not do that. I just deposit money onto the students’ ID that they can use on campus to buy food or stuff in the bookstore.?
