What you might really want it a Raspberry Pi. That way you can build the case yourself or buy one. But then the games on the Raspberry Pi open source so you would have a lot of options there.

We are revamping our student center operations and wanted to add some fun and popular arcade type machines.  We were looking for equipment that we could make available to students at no cost to use and we would lease maybe with an option to switch out new games periodically.  Any advice on popular machines, vendors, and/or cautions you could share?  Outside of our pool tables and gaming consoles, we have no experience with other equipment.

Hi Jeani,

I used to run the TerpZone which is a bowling, billiards and gaming center at the University of Maryland.? Popular arcade game machines are fluid.? The best thing to do is connect with a coin operated arcade gaming company.? I know of a couple that I used to work with in Maryland.

There are others, these are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.? The best option would be to set up a lease agreement where they provide the arcade games for your space and they handle all the maintenance and money collection in exchange for a 50/50 split of all proceeds.? The splits are sometimes negotiable based on the company.? The company is usually open to swapping games out if they are not being played.? If you are looking for the games to be placed on free play so the students don’t have to pay then it may be a straight forward lease agreement.
