  Prepare Your Regional and Annual Session Proposals

  The annual conference session proposal deadline is September 9. That is only a little over a month away. Now is the time to start working on your session proposals and/or recruiting colleagues to present sessions with you. Regional conferences are also accepting session proposals now. Your region’s deadline to submit may be before the annual conference deadline.

  Historically, topics related to student employment and training have been well attended and popular among ACUI members. The call for annual conference sessions gives the following guidance about what they are looking for this year:

  • “Support: How do you create environments of care,
    encouragement, and trust? Share strategies, programs, or practices that
    prioritize well-being and connection.
  • Growth: How are you helping others, and yourself,
    develop and thrive? We invite sessions on personal and professional
    development, innovation, and change-making.
  • Readiness: What does it mean to be prepared for
    what’s next? Whether navigating transitions, leading through
    uncertainty, or building future-facing programs, we want to hear how
    you’re cultivating readiness.

  Proposals that highlight brave, caring, or encouraging approaches are strongly desired—those sessions that consider what meaningful takeaways participants will leave the session with, and how the session will empower or inspire action.”

  Gather your co-presenters and get your session proposals in for annual and regional conferences before the deadlines!
