    Greetings–
As we create the new “norm”, I wondered what programs or events are seeing good participation/engagement levels from students? We have some ideas from students and have implemented them with very mixed results.

    Thank you!

    Hi Chelsee,?
We have actually launched several events that had good attendance and engagement. One was a stuff a huskie (our mascot is a huskie), Air Plants make and take, and intention bracelets making. Even with the bracelets which took more time we had good participation. We are doing several events this week and did wax hands making yesterday. We had to cut off the line to end on time. These were with the College Agency and Record-A-Hit.?

But the Huskies were the biggest hit. We ran out of materials almost two hours early from our advertised end time.?

    Happy to chat more though!

    Hi Chelsee,?
Over the course of our last semester, we had very positive response to our Spartan Sensory Series. Each event focused on one of the senses.?
    Taste: Boba and Bubbles
We offered free Boba and bubble pop fidgets.?
    ?
    Hear: Silent Disco
Silent Disco event with free food and selfie station

Sight & Touch: Sensational Sights and Tactile Times
This event offered various anxiety and stress reduction activities like kinetic sand, play dough, make-and-take succulent activity, and adult coloring.?

    Smell: Aromatic Adventures?
The Aromatic Adventures event offered students an opportunity to build their own bouquet of flowers of different varieties and colors. (we limited the bouquets to a maximum of 12 stems per person).

Another popular event is Bingo! We usually get about 80 to 100 students to play bingo.?

Happy to discuss some other events as well.?
    Amy?

    Chelsee,

A couple items come to mind that have had good traction recently.
    1. Online/In Person Bingo. We host zoom bingos. It’s about the only zoom thing students still like. Students can play in person or online.
    2. We frequently have local zoos or animal sanctuaries/rescues come in for educational animal shows. They always bring a smile to student’s faces.
    3. We have 4 raffles a year students can enter online. We have done the first snow day, how many tacos were sold at T-Bell in a week, the date the fountain is turned on, etc.
    4. We recently had Women’s History month paint by numbers kits, they were great.

    Good Luck!
